While National Honor Society officer Kristina Youngson finishes setting up the food, assistant principal Lisa Kratz digs into the teacher appreciation feast. “Next week is teacher appreciation week but [the students] held [the luncheon] a week early,” assistant principal Catherine Halbuer said. “They wanted to make sure that the support personnel also get some of the benefits because this week is administration assistance week. I look forward to this because it’s always nice to see that the kids appreciate what we do.” Youngson said she thinks it’s important to have the luncheon because students don’t see most of the things administration does to keep the school running and is not appreciated enough.
