Shooting for an ‘A’

Sophomore Juan Rodriguez and senior Selina Arends get ready to launch their paper planes into the sky for a statistics lab in Maria Hedrick’s class Friday.  “It was our first outside-lab. It really helped me understand how relevant math can be in the real world,” Rodriguez said. “It was super-windy out so there was lots of experimental errors.” The statistics experiment taught students how to find the mean distance for each type of plane.
