Samuel Hartford, West Point Academy cadet, hosted an informational meeting to inform any students who wanted to attend the prestigious military school in the application process. “The academies are very competitive and so if you want to apply you need to do so early,” math teacher Steven Thomas said. “You need to be knowledgable about the requirements so that you can be eligible for an appointment.  I think Sam’s visit is an opportunity for young people who want to attend West Point to hear from someone currently attending the academy and to learn from his experiences.” Thomas, like speech teacher Jim Peterson, is a West point graduate.
