Hair-raising experience
Filled with shock and excitement, junior Samuel Neimeier participates in the “Shockalaba” lab during his AP physics class with instructor Cinsy Krehbiel. “It was really funny because all my hair stuck up when I put my hand on the electric generator and the whole class started laughing.” Neimeier said, “I could feel the electricity pulsing through my body, it was so cool.” Mrs. Krehbiel chose this presentation to introduce her students to the new electricity chapter they just began. The lab was designed to teach students about electricity by not only showing a visual of electrons coming out of the generator, but also giving them a chance to participate and feel the electricity from the generator.
