Fiesta time

Serving herself a taco, senior Gabii Reyes joins her lunch table in celebrating Cinco De Mayo with a full on feast Tuesday. The group of friends each brought an entrée to share, and enjoyed a three-course meal complete with a piñata centerpiece. “We did the same thing for thanksgiving, and all of our birthdays,” Reyes said. “Our parties make me the happiest.” Cinco de Mayo—or the fifth of May—commemorates the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War.
