Well folks, it has been a very unique and different school opening this year and I can honestly report, despite all the challenges, our students, staff, and school community banded together to make sure it was successful. For our students,  I am very proud to report that they have been ultra-compliant with all of our COVID-19 safety protocols including our one-way hallway traffic, and our mask mandates. Our teachers have also tirelessly worked through the challenges of synchronizing eLearners with our in-person on campus students and while there have been notable hiccups, I am pleased to report that instruction has been well-received thus far. As we move forward into the coming weeks we are making plans for athletics and activities (See Attached COVID-19 Spectator guidelines) to include elections for SGA and Class officers as well as plans for a virtual Open House of sorts whereby teachers can review their class policies and procedures through a video announcement. Our guidance team is also working on our Virtual Senior Parent Night information which outlines specific information on college applications, Common App, FASFA completion, etc. and more information about this will be forthcoming. Also, please note attached important information on Fall Testing from Coordinator Mike Drake which outlines assessments needed to be completed due to cancellation of Spring 2019 Testing last year.  In closing, I simply wanted to once again thank our community for your ongoing support and patience as we continue to transition our operations to ensure everyone’s safety. Please accept my very best wishes for a great weekend.

Sincerely,

Rick Fleming, principal
