Junior earns perfect PSAT score

A perfect score on the PSAT is a difficult thing to achieve, but junior Neill Johnston has done just that.

“At first I was really shocked, but now I guess I’m just really glad it happened,” Johnston said. “It feels pretty nice knowing that I got the best score you can get.”

The school’s average test score was in the 1100s and the max score was 1520. Johnston is the only West Shore student to earn a perfect score on the test in the past few years.

“This is the second time I’ve seen this happen,” West Shore testing administrator Mike Drake said. “The last time I saw this was three or four years ago on either the 2011 or 2012 test.”
