The French Honor Society will be holding its induction ceremony for new members Wednesday in the media center beginning immediately after school.

French teacher Jennifer Walker discussed advantages to joining the organization.

“It looks good for when you apply to colleges,” she said. “You can also earn leadership requirements through it and also have the opportunity to serve as an officer.”

The French Honor Society also gives out a $500 annual scholarship to a graduating senior.

Sophomore Will Cosker said he’s glad he joined.

“I think that it is smart to be consistent with at least one thing throughout high school,” Cosker said. “The French Honor Society is good choice for that and is a fun experience.”

At the induction, officers will call up the new inductees and pictures will be taken afterwards with cake being served.
