Lady Wildcats shut out Eau Gallie 3-0

The Lady Wildcats emerged victorious after their hard fought bout against Eau Gallie High on Monday. Senior Elena Barr scored two goals with Alexa Carlos-Tamez putting in another to add to the 3-0 shutout victory.

“The refs weren’t all that good and never called anything,” junior Isabella Nemes said. “It was a fairly aggressive game with lots of fouls called.”

Nemes suffered a torn ACL in the game against Heritage on Nov. 15 and has been ruled out for the season.

After beating Palm Bay and Cocoa 10-0, forcing mercy rule in the first half, the expectation was that this game was going to be no different as the Lady Commodores only had two more victories than both the Palm Bay and Cocoa teams.

“We won, but I thought we could have played better,” junior Jenna Franklin said. “I think we could have beaten them 8-0 if we just would have played better in general.”

The Lady Wildcats will play their next game at home against Melbourne High School tonight beginning at 7.
