The Space Coast Crew Girls’ Varsity team will travel to Head of the South in Augusta, Georgia. The Girls’ Novice team will head to the Stetson Fall Rowing Rendezvous at Lake Beresford in Deland on Nov. 11.

Junior Emily Eastwood and sophomore Emma Welman said they plan to medal once more before the fall season ends.

“Most of our big competitors have gone to other regattas, so we are racing clubs a lot smaller than us at Head of the South,” Eastwood said. “ I medaled at the last two regattas, and I am planning on getting more at this regatta.”

These two regattas signal the end of the 5k fall and the beginning of the rigorous winter/spring 2k season.

“I am excited for the Stetson regatta, but I wish the fall season was longer,” Welman said. “But I am excited to get into the 2k season once the 5k season is over.”
