Playboi Carti tour causes a stir

Playboi Carti kicked off his nationwide tour on Oct. 14, performing songs from his third album “Whole Lotta Red.”

His concerts often leave his fans feeling ecstatic, and experiences from past performances sometimes give some audience members a bad reputation. Many of Carti’s concerts are notorious for his reckless and violent fans, mosh pits and extremely unregulated drug policies.

Freshman Noah Teschyuores attended an Orlando show last month, calling it “unbelievably chaotic” and at some points confusing.

Nevertheless, the concert also received a large amount of positive reception.

“We waited for about two hours, but it was so worth it when everyone started screaming Carti’s name,” senior Noah Thomas said. “I was probably only 40 feet away from the vamp [Playboi Carti], and I could feel his energy.”

Junior Olivia Shary said she was was caught in a mosh pit with one of Carti’s opening acts, Rico Nasty.

“I danced right next to her,” Shary said.

Playboi Carti’s tour ends on Dec. 23 in Atlanta..

“Even if you are not a fan, you might want to grab a ticket,” Teschuyores said.
