Odyssey of the Mind will be holding a start up meeting for this year’s teams Oct. 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the media center. The team is looking for middle school and high school participants, as well as parent volunteers to coach. The team is headed by technology coordinator Terri Friend.

“I’m really excited about this upcoming year,” Friend said. “We always have great teams.”

The regional competition will be held at Bayside High School on March 8.

“It’s a great way to learn different problem solving and critical thinking skills,” Friend said. “Kids can use what they know from drama, music, art, ectera.”
