Students anticipate Super Bowl LVIII on Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m.

Two football playoff games were held Jan. 28 to determine which teams will compete at Super Bowl LVIII. The Baltimore Ravens played the Kansas Chiefs, and the Detroit Lions faced the San Francisco 49ers. The Chiefs won 17–10, and the 49ers won 34–31. The Chiefs and the 49ers will compete for the Super Bowl title Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m in Las Vegas.

“I am excited to watch the Super Bowl,” junior Athan Zaiden said. “I’m rooting for the Chiefs to win, since they won last year and have been dominating this year as well.”

Junior Devin Haave said he has mixed feelings, as Taylor Swift is dating Kansas Chief player Travis Kelce, which gains more fans for the team.

“Chiefs are going to win this year’s Super Bowl, since it’s scripted and Taylor Swift is in there,” Haave said. “We all live in Taylor’s world.”

Taylor Swift will not be performing the halftime show; instead Usher will, which Zaiden said he is glad about.

“Usher is a classic,” he said. “I’m not a fan of Swift, but I feel Usher is a good choice for the halftime performer. [I am] excited to see him sing.”
