Murphy leads boys’ soccer past MCC

The boys’ soccer team beat Melbourne Central Catholic 1-0 in a district match-up Friday Night. Sophomore Abe Murphy scored the only goal during the game.

“During the game we couldn’t really finish. I was really surprised because we had so many opportunities to score,” Murphy said.

Senior Robert Madden also expressed frustration

“We managed to keep possession very well, but in the final third we were unable to finish,” he said. “That’s something we’ve been practicing, but it didn’t show during the game. If we mastered finishing, the game probably would have been over before the half.”
