Lady Wildcats’ soccer blows out Bayside

Sophomore Jonelle Plahuta assisted on three goals as the Lady Wildcats’ soccer team shut out Bayside 7- 0 Monday night.

“In the first half we were playing a little slow and we were a little off with the tempo and pace of the game,” Plahuta said. “I think in the second half we started to figure out how to play an attack smarter which lead our chemistry to be better which lead to us scoring more.”

After three regular-season games, the team sits at one win, one loss and one tie, respectively. Freshman Madison Ainbinder said they can use these games to help build and progress to where they want to be for the rest of the season.

“I think we are going to continue to grow throughout the season because as a team we have pretty good chemistry both on and off the field, which has benefited us,” Ainbinder said. “These first few games have allowed us to figure out the problems and what we need to improve on.  It’s still early in the season and there are still things that we need to fix and work on as a team and individually but going forward I think we’re going to have a really good season and only continue to progress.”

The Lady Wildcats’ soccer team next hosts Trinity Prep at home on Friday at 6 p.m.
