JV girls continue playing club soccer

After ending the season with 10 victories, some members of the girls’ JV soccer team have continued playing for clubs outside of school.

“My club team is continuing our season and we have begun traveling again,” freshman Violet Castillo said. “I just had a tournament in Virginia last weekend.”

Castillo’s team practices most Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays and play in games almost every weekend.

“My team is doing great in the league right now,” Castillo said. “We have won all of our league games so far and if we win our Florida Cup tournament, we might get the chance to travel to Colorado and play in Nationals.”

Eighth-grader Anita says she also has high hopes for her team.

“I play for Space Coast United,” Anita said. “My team and I are currently training for upcoming games hoping to make it to nationals and league finals in the summer.”
