JV cheer to unveil new routine

The JV cheer squad is kicking off the season with a new half time routine.

“I really like it, it’s super unique,” Jadyen R. (8) said.

One of the unusual things in this dance is that cheerleaders are using poms, which causes worries for some .

“It’s really hard to use them [poms], and it feels really weird,” Jadyen said.

The team will add stunts as the season goes on.

“Preps and shoulder sits will probably be added,” Jadyen said.

A different style of music accompanies the new dance.

“The music is really good, there is some rap and it’s almost like an all star cheer song,” Hannah H. (8) said. “Last year’s music was old, and no kid really knew the songs.”

The team plans to unveil the new routine at the the basketball game scheduled for Tuesday.
