Girls’ tennis heads to districts

The girls’ tennis team will participate in districts at the Fee Avenue courts Wednesday and Thursday. Looking back, sophomore Lasya Damaraju expressed her determination to finish strong.

“The season was full of many wins with a few losses here and there,” she said. Now that things are winding down, I can put my focus into Districts. I think we can go to regionals. Our competition is always Holy Trinity because they have a strong team and Melbourne which was also a close match but with our current line-up I think we could be them”

Sophomore Sarah Bahsoun said she’s ready to play.

“I’ve been working out my fitness so that I can perform at my best for the whole day,” Bahsoun said. “With the way we’ve been playing recently, there is no way we can’t make it to regionals.”

After being out with a sprained wrist, sophomore Rosellen Rodriguez looks forward to the competition.

“I was sort of distraught when I sprained my wrist, but soon after I was to get back to practicing with the team,” she said.
