Because all juniors were required to take the SAT exam Wednesday, dual-enrollment student junior Scarlett Heuett missed her morning classes at Eastern Florida State College. 

“I missed the last part of an important chapter in my math class,” she said. “I’m not happy about it since you have to be there every class to understand the lesson fully.”

Heuett talked about how now she has to teach herself the lesson because she missed class to take the SAT. Heuett said it was worth taking the SAT for free at her home high school, but playing catch-up will be slightly difficult.

Correspondingly, missing class for the SAT wasn’t as difficult for junior Jamarr Cole.

“Since Wednesday was the first day I ever missed that class it wasn’t that bad. I emailed my professor previous to the SAT to let him know that I was missing class” Cole said. “I was able to get the info before hand.”

Cole said he felt all right about missing class.

“It doesn’t bother me that much. I don’t feel like I’m going to be behind in my psychology class and I feel pretty good about the SAT,” Cole said.
