Dual enrollment spring deadline approaches
December is the month for seasonal holidays and winter break but it is also the deadline for dual enrollment registration for spring 2014. Dual enrollment is a chance for students to take college classes at Eastern Florida State College and earn college credit while still in high school.
“It’s free college credit, and the books are paid for, and it helps your GPA,” guidance counselor Dina Dearmin said.
To attend EFSC, students need to fill out an application, attend the orientation, and have SAT, ACT or PERT scores.
“We have about a hundred kids doing dual enrollment [this year],” said Dearmin. For fall 2014 dual enrollment, make sure to see your guidance counselor in the spring.
