Chorus students selected for All-State
High school and middle school chorus students auditioned to be part of the All State Chorus, and only a few students were selected to participate for performing at the conference. The All State Chorus is a highly select groups of chorus students from Florida’s middle and high schools who are brought together for rehearsing and performing selected music with guest conductors.
“They passed a rigorous, three part audition process,” chorus teacher Amy Davis said.
High school students Ian Chan, Lexie Krehbiel, Connor Courtney, Ryan Wheat, Greta Schledorn, Kristina Manning, Clay Uhing and middle school student Madeline A. were selected to participate.
“I was surprised when I got accepted,” senior Clay Uhing said, “because it’s every male singer who is good in the state going, along with all the females too.”
These students will represent West Shore at the Florida Music Educators Conference in January.
