Chipotle Night fund-raiser set for Wednesday

The Junior Class will be holding its next Chipotle Night at the 192 location Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. as part of an ongoing campaign to raise money for next April’s Prom.

Seniors Madi Coalter and Delaney Gunnell said they believe the fundraising strategies have been effective.

“I think that the Junior Class is doing well at fund-raising so far this year,” Coalter said. “Restaurant nights such as Chipotle fund-raisers can bring in a lot of funds if the class officers work hard to advertise them and get students to eat there.”

Juniors and seniors can benefit from fund-raising by allowing for more engaging events that they will remember in the future.

“I think fund-raising is important because it allows for us to do more exciting events. I think the Chipotle Nights and things like that are pretty successful. Lots of people go to it,” Gunnell said. “I think that as long as they continue to fundraise and work hard towards preparation, we will have a very fun Prom this year. The seniors are looking forward to it a lot since we haven’t had any school dances these past couple years.”

Senior Amy Yang encourages her classmates to attend the Chipotle fund-raiser.

“I believe it is an efficient way to raise money because Chipotle is very popular among many people at school and everyone really likes Chipotle, and even if they don’t, they can jump on the bandwagon,” she said. “I think even though there are more events that could raise more money that they can do, I think Chipotle is still a good option.”
