Camps places third in Jingle Bell 2 Miler

Senior Austin Camps placed third in the Jingle Bell 2 Miler at the Satellite Beach library Saturday night with a time of 10:10, making him the school’s top finisher. Most of the West Shore students who competed were members of the cross-country or track teams. Among them were sophomores sophomores Jacob Kent and Matt Senft-Greenberg.

“I haven’t ran since cross-country ended,” Kent said. “Now that track is coming up, I need to start getting back into shape.”

On the other hand, sophomore Christian Camps had not let up on training since the season ended.

“Ever since August, when cross-country started, I have been training hard,” sophomore Christian Camps said. “This race was a test for me to see how much I have improved in the past four months.”
