Junior Robert Madden scored two goals while sophomores Nick Burgess and Sam Leighton and seniors Jamie Rushnell and senior Brad Mooney each scored one to lead the boys’ soccer past Treasure Coast 7-1 in a preseason game Wednesday night.

“All the kids off the bench had very high efforts being this is the first game they’ve ever played,” Madden, a team captain, said. “I may be an upperclassman, but the younger kids inspire me to play even harder.”

Sophomore Gavin Rushnell received a yellow card for rough play in his first game playing for varsity.
