The dance team was unable to dance last Friday at the Blue and Silver Soccer Game due to rainy weather.

Junior and varsity dance team officer Stephanie Shaw was the one who made the decision that the team would not perform.

“Because it was rainy, the field was all muddy,” Shaw said. “JV just got new uniforms, and I didn’t want their uniforms and ours to get dirty.”

Dance team members had been planning to performall of their routines which they had been practicing since the beginning of the school year.

“I was kind of disappointed we didn’t get to perform because I was looking forward to it since it was our first game,” freshman Alicia Ortiz said.

The soccer game was not canceled by the rain, so the dance team stayed and watched.

“We stayed for the game because we like to support West Shore soccer,” Shaw said.
