Festivus Marketplace set for Friday

The third annual Festivus Marketplace will be held Friday  from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. under the canopy. Tables to display and sell goods can be rented for $20. An assortment of goods will and live music by the school’s jazz band will also accompany the market. Food by Rollie’s which will be available.

“Festivus is pretty much a place for local, small business owners to sell their goods to people,” Principal Rick Fleming said. “We’re going to have about 45 tables there for vendors to rent out. It’s a good way for the school to see what the community has to offer. Anybody who wants to sell things can get a booth. It’s a nice family fun way to shop for the holidays.”

Junior Tryphina Mikhail has rented a table for the school’s “Alter Ego” literary magazine.
“My mom and I are making hand-knitted scarfs and crochets,” she said. “This is my third year doing Festivus, and I’m excited for the turnout this year.”
