Viera holiday parade set for Saturday
November 20, 2018
Light Up Viera Holiday Parade will take place Saturday at 6:10 p.m.
“I mean a parade usually just means being thrown free things like candy and once I got a water bottle so that was pretty cool.” sophomore Tatum Berard said.
There are professionally lit floats that will travel two miles with high school marching bands, food trucks and a surprise character meet and greets.
“I think a turkey will show up because it’s around Thanksgiving,” sophomore Trinity Sweet said.
There will be fireworks shown at 6 p.m. to start off the event.
“I like the idea of the fireworks and think it’s a cool addition but I feel like they would make more sense after the end of the parade,” sophomore Shaun Knapp said.

"We've had no issues, no snafus. Everything's been running smoothly, and we've been getting kids to class on time.”](https://westshoreroar.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/IMG_9979-1200x800.jpg)
