Indialantic U17 boys advance to the second round of state cup

The Indialantic U17 boys faced off against Pinecrest Premier who are ranked No.13 in the state April 22, losing lost 2-1 despite scoring first. Indialantic ended the first half up 1-0, but Pinecrest responded late in the second half with two goals from crosses sent into the box from free kicks.

“It was really unfortunate that we lost because we dominated the first half,” sophomore Cameron Yeutter said. “I think we just ran out of gas in the last quarter.”

The boys were supposed to play two games on the weekend but the game on Sunday was canceled due to rain. The match is rescheduled for next Saturday but location and time are yet to be determined.

“The field that we played on were mostly dirt and it was covered in hills so it didn’t take much rain to flood them,” sophomore Chase Hester said.
