Girls travel to Virginia for soccer showcase

With recruitment season in full swing, several soccer showcases are being held all over the country to help players show their abilities in front of college coaches.

Juniors Fallon Klenotich and Sydney Zamorano recently attended the Jefferson Cup Showcase in Virginia.

“I loved playing in the cold weather,” Klenotich said. “It was fun to play in a whole different atmosphere than what I’m used to while playing in Florida. I just really didn’t like the long car ride.”

Zamorano shared her experiences as well.

“The competition at the showcase was much more intense than what I’m used to,” Zamorano said. “Everything was moving so fast, but I really enjoyed it.”

Zamorano said she didn’t mind the trip to Virginia so much because she traveled by plane.
