Film Club suspends meetings until next semester

The Film Club’s co-presidents have decided to take a break from weekly meetings this month due to busy schedules.

Co-president Emma Myers said the reason for this intermission is the theater program, which many Film Club members are involved in.

“We’ve been working on [the] ‘Addams Family’ [play], theatre districts and one acts, as well as the winter concert,” she said.

Junior Grace Pearson said she understands the need for the club to take some time off.

“I think that the postponing of the meetings was helpful to a lot of people,” she said. “I know that lots of people are busy and have other things to do.”

Myers expressed concern about how the time gap will affect the club next semester.

“I think we may lose, or gain, attendees based on how we reintroduce meetings,” she said. “Hopefully, it works out for the better.”

Pearson said she is looking forward to the club starting up again.

“My favorite thing [about the club] would be that I get to talk with my friends about the films and hang out with them,” she said. “I think the club provides a really nice environment for people.”
