Boys’ golf hopes to make a run at districts
October 8, 2020
The boys’ golf team is one step closer to becoming champions.
“We are finishing up our regular season [today] in the Cape Coast Conference Championships at the Majors in Bayside lakes,” Coach Dave Kendall said.
This will be the team’s last match before districts.
“Districts will be Tuesday at Falcons Fire in Kissimmee,” Kendall said.
With little more than one week until their district match, the team has been practicing extra rigorously to make sure it makes it as deep into districts as possible.
COVID-19 hasn’t impacted golf as much as it has other sports.
“We don’t have to wear masks while playing,” sophomore golfer Rylan Runske said. “Since everyone is so spread out on the course, there is no need to wear them.”
