Make senior portrait appointments now

Thirty-nine seniors out of the 149-member Class of 2017 still haven’t scheduled appointments to have their yearbook portraits as of Aug. 17.  While the last possible day to be photographed isn’t until Oct. 24, appointments must be made well in advance of that date.

“In past years, some procrastinating seniors ended up driving to Orlando or Vero because all the times in the Melbourne studio were booked when they got around to trying to make an appointment,” yearbook adviser Mark Schledorn said. “A few parents have let me know how annoyed they were with their seniors when they found out they had waited so long.”

While students are not required to purchase senior portraits from Dean Stewart Photography, they must be photographed by DSP to be included in the yearbook.

According to the DSP website, seniors should wear what they think they look best in to the their scheduled photograph appointment. They should arrive dressed and camera-ready. Upon arriving at the studio, located on 192 near Cinema World theaters, seniors will be assigned a personal dressing room to make any finishing touches. Seniors who have booked a Deluxe or Supreme session, should be sure to bring their props and additional outfit. In the past, some seniors have been photographed with  a band instrument, sports gear such volleyball or baseball bat, a letter jacket and even a family pet.

Senior portrait appointments should be made online at https://www.dsp-photo.com/Senior-Portraits.html.
