Boys’ varsity soccer starts the season strong

The varsity team began their season with a match against the Cocoa Tigers at home. The game ended 7-0 with a victory for the Wildcats. Junior Abram Murphy scored three goals during the game to lead the team to this victory.

“We had many chances during the game it should have been 8-0 in the first half,” Murphy said. “I think we will be working on finishing a lot during practice.”

The boys’ shot the ball 31 times during the game. Senior Sam Leighton also scored a goal during the game.

“It was a crazy game, every shot we took seemed to go over,” Leighton said “I am expecting to get some heat from coach during practice.”

The boys’ next game is an away game against the Melbourne Central Catholic on Nov. 15, starting at 7 p.m.
