Wildcats perform swimmingly against Bears
Taking an early lead, both the girls’ and boys’ swim teams dominated the Bayside Bears at Fee Avenue Park on Tuesday. The boys won 103-71, and the girls won 132-38.
“We all kind of knew we would win just because Bayside isn’t really known for their swim team,” junior Kayla Stevens said. “The girls’ team goal was to come in first in every event, which we did.”
After dropping seconds off his freestyle times, Senior Kyle Landis said he was more than satisfied with both his individual and team events.
“We kicked butt,” Landis said. “We were definitely on our game yesterday because everyone dropped times from the last meet and our relays were put in better shape too.”
The swim team will compete again next Tuesday against Edgewood.
