With a team total of 38 kills and 40 digs, the Lady Wildcats volleyball team rallied to defeat Cocoa High School 25-19, 23-25, 26-24, 25-17 in the Cocoa gym Thursday night.

“With each competition the Wildcats become more seasoned and confident in their court play,” Coach Bonnie Priester said. “As of last night, with our new 6-1 record, we have become the winningest West Shore volleyball team in the history of our school.”

Junior Kylie Wenger dug the ball 17 times to help start the offense while senior Meagan Larsen set up 21 assists. Senior Kaitlyn Forry and junior Tess Sheets closed in for 10 kills each.

The Lady Wildcats will be facing off against their biggest rivals, Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School, next Friday in the West Shore gym.
