Volley team rallies to top Palm Bay

The Lady Wildcats rallied behind senior Meagan Larsen to make a comeback against the Palm Bay Pirates Wednesday night after dropping the first two sets, winning the volleyball game 23-25, 24-25, 25-23, 25-20, 15-7. Larsen led the team both offensively and defensively, with 25 digs and 23 assists, while junior Tess Sheets and senior Kaitlyn Forry combined for 25 kills.

“Coming from behind and winning a five-game match is sweet,” Coach Bonnie Preister said. “Excellent offensive play from Tess, Meagan and [Kaitlyn].”

With the victory, the team improved its record to 12-5.

The first two sets proved to be a challenge for the Wildcats. They maintained a solid lead through most of the sets, but badly timed unforced errors at the end of each cost them early wins.
