The women’s swim team beat Bayside High School 139 to 40 and the men won 109 to 65 Tuesday.

So far this season, senior Nikki Gregory, freshman Kayla Stevens, senior Bernadette Murphy and senior Callie Heuser set school records in the 200 medley relay. Murphy also set records in the 200 yard freestyle and the 100 yard butterfly while Stevens set a record in the 200 yard individual medley and freshman Kara Marin set a new record in diving.

“Kelly Stokes and Bernadette Murphy are doing a great job of leading our team as captains , along with our other juniors and seniors,” swimming Coach Mike Rochelle said.

There was concern about the men’s team after losing seven seniors last year.

“They have worked hard and are improving each week. Ben Heuser and Trevor Stamand are boys captains and are leading the team enthusiastically along with junior Dane Price. They will face a big test on Sept. 27 at Rockledge High School,” Rochelle said.
