Soccer stars look to play at collegiate level

Boys’ varsity soccer stars John Bocinsky and Kevin Kurtz are looking to take their talent to the college level after their historic season. Bocinsky has been contacted by the University of North Florida, Florida Institute of Technology and Florida Golf Coast University about playing soccer.

“I have played at ID camps at the University of Central Florida, University of South Florida and Flagler college,” Bocinsky said. ” I would love to play for the University of Florida but they do not have a school team. I will most likely play for a club team.”

Senior Kevin Kurtz has been contacted by Rollins college and received a scholarship offer from the Florida Institute of Technology.

“Soccer will definitely play into my decision on where I go to college,” Kurtz said. “I would really want to play soccer at the college level.”

Kurtz and Bocinsky will square off with their teammates against Berkley Prep for the 2A state championship this Friday at 7:35 p.m. The game will be held at the USF stadium.
