Short-handed team to take on THS

The girls’ varsity soccer team will play Titusville High School on Friday night despite missing several players.

“Desiree Shields, Jenna Forry, Ciera Misner and Erin Berube all left today to go a tournament in North Carolina,” junior Sarah Brusca said.

The four girls will play for their club team, Space Coast, at the tournament this weekend.

“Titusville is losing some players too because they are on the same club team,” Brusca said. “We are just going to have to come out playing our hardest and hold a strong defense.”

Senior Lauren Dietl and sophomore Claire Rauchfuss will also be absent due to a church retreat and a family engagement.

“I think we can play well,” junior Micah Weber said. “We know it’s going to be a hard game. We know what we have to do to win, and we know it will take a lot of work.”

The home game is scheduled to start  at 7 p.m.
