Sheedy leads girls past Satellite 3-1

Junior Diana Sheedy scored three goals in the final quarter of the girls’ varsity soccer  game Tuesday night to lead the Lady Wildcats to a 3-1 victory against Satellite.

“At one point I was nervous because we were down by one for most of the game,” sophomore Micah Webber said. It was an important game for us because it was a district game, and we had to win no matter what.”

With the victory, the girls have a better chance to receive an easier game for their district semi finals.

“We shouldn’t have gotten behind, but when we did, we were patient with their defense and continued to attack them until they finally broke,” assistant coach Chuck Keener said.

The girls’ next home game is against Astronaut on Dec. 16 at 7 p.m.
