Schauman leads volleyball past Vipers

Sophomore Casey Schauman led the way with a total six kills and nine assists, followed by Seniors Aalekhya Tenali and Alyssa Johnson with 12 digs and two blocks respectively, helping send the Lady Wildcats’ volleyball team to an emphatic victory against the Space Coast Jr./Sr. High Vipers on Monday night.

“With each game we improve more and more,” Schauman said. “The team is gelling and working together extremely well.”

The victory was the team’s 12th and the Lady Wildcats are undefeated in district play. The team is preparing for a tough game this on Thursday against Cocoa Beach.

“This game is going to be the most challenging so far this season,” senior Tess Sheets said.  “It’ll be important for everyone on the team to be focused and play their best.”
