Oliva receives Bright House scholarship

Bright House Networks presented girls’ soccer team co-captain Haylee Oliva with the David Logan Scholarship on May 17.  The senior is the first Brevard County female to receive this recognition and only the second Brevard County recipient in the history of the award.

Established in January 1999, the scholarship is awarded annually to four high Central Florida high school seniors who excel in athletics and academics. The award is granted in the memory of David Logan, a former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Green Bay Packers player and television sportscaster.

Applicants must have earned a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4-point scale, have participated in athletics and have attended high school within the Bright House Sports Network viewing area.
