Senior Bernadette Murphy set a new school record in the 200-yard individual medley and sophomore Kayla Stevens set a new school record in the 100 yard breaststroke to lead the girls’ swim team to a 150-30 victory against Heritage High on Tuesday. The team now owns 10 of the 12 school records.
“The remaining two unbroken records are the 200 yard freestyle relay and the 400 yard freestyle relay,” Coach Mike Rochelle said. “We hope to break those next week when we take on Rockledge and Merritt Island at Rockledge. That should be an exciting meet.”
The boys’ team posted a 116-53 victory.
The teams will compete against Merrit Island and Rockledge next Tuesday.
