Lady Wildcats’ tennis team is victorious over Hustlers

The West Shore girls’ tennis team defeated the MCC Hustlers 6-1 in their match at Fee Avenue on Feb 28.

“The team played pretty well today.” freshman Lasya Damaraju said. “I was proud of all of the girls who won their match today.”

Sophomore Sidney Jones decided to sit out during her singles match due to a wrist injury. She decided to play through the pain in her doubles match.

“We dominated them today.” Jones said. “I feel like I could have used more consistency with my serve although snapping down on the ball with my wrist while I was serving was rough.”

Despite her injury, she still managed to win her doubles match on line 2 and help the team win the match.

The Lady ‘Cats next match is at Viera on Thursday, March 2.
