Kinsey leads bowlers past Palm Bay

Behind a strong effort from senior Sarah Kinsey who led the team with 127 points, the girls’ bowling team won its first match of the season beating Palm Bay high school 5-2 on Wednesday at Harbour Lanes in Melbourne.

“Whenever we have food before we bowl we end up doing really well,” sophomore Hana Bilicki said. “Now it’s turned into a tradition.”

The team was at an advantage, though, due to the absence of one of the Palm Bay players.

“It was kind of dissappointing that we won to a team who was down a player,” Kinsey said. “But it was a close game, and we worked hard to come out on top.”

While the girls celebrated their first win, the boys struggled against Palm Bay, losing 7-0. The next match will take place Thursday at Harbour Lanes.
