Eighth-grader Gillian F. scored 14 points and freshman Lydia Kline scored 11 points to lead the basketball team past Astronaut High School 40-31 Monday.

“”We played ball together and adjusted what we had to adjust in the game,” Kline said.

Junior Victoria D’Esposito and senior Vinashna Patel combined for 14 rebounds  and three blocks to lead the team defensively.

“It was really cool how we were able to beat such a big school,” said junior Jordan Bauer, who assissted the offensive effort by scoring seven points. “And I liked how we made the other coach mad.”

The Lady Wildcats will be face off against the Pirates on Wednesday in the Palm Bay High School gym.
