The Feb. 18 match against Viera was a challenging one for senior Aubrey Reiter, who faced off against an opponent with whom she used to train with. Despite the intensity and length of the match, Aubrey secured the victory, allowing West Shore to win 6-1.

“The game was one of my harder ones,” Reiter said. “Playing against someone I used to train with made it even more meaningful. It was a very close and long match, but I eventually won 9-7. This year has been a lot of fun, and our team has a lot of potential. We all get along great, and I have high hopes for this season.”

Senior Katherine Arcadier said she shared Reiter’s hopes for the season.

“Our team chemistry is incredible,” Arcadier said. “We support each other no matter what, and it’s really showing in our performances this season. We’ve been pushing each other to be better every day, and it’s definitely paying off.”

As the season continues, the Arcadier said the team is focused on developing its skills and teamwork.

“It’s been so exciting to see everyone improve,” Arcadier said. “I have no doubt that we’re going to keep getting stronger as the season goes on.”
