Girls’ soccer slaughters Space Coast

Paving the way with three goals, senior Diana Sheedy led the girls’ soccer team victory over Space Coast 8-0 Monday night. Due to the slaughter rule, the game ended in the first half.

“Diana did really well laying the ball off and moving towards the goal to receive it again,” senior Lauren Dietl said.

Senior Erin Berube with two goals and Lauren Dietl, freshman Erika Lobemeyer and freshman Brittany Etrick, each with one goal, also assisted to the win.

“Space coast was aggressive,” Dietl said. “But we worked around it by moving wide and working our way through the midfield.”

The Lady Wildcats play at Atlantic High School on  Nov. 27 at 5 p.m.
