Sophomore Ashley Pekmezian led the girls’ varsity soccer team to a 3-0 win against Sebastian River High School on Tuesday night.
“I thought the game went well,” Pekmezian said. “We possessed the ball which led to multiple scoring opportunities for the whole team. “
Pekmezian scored two goals, and sophomore Claire Rauchfuss scored the third.
“I feel like a few of us came out on the field thinking we would slaughter rule, and it would be an easy game,” junior Desiree Shields said. “Once we played our game, we worked together well and all played our part.”
The next home game will be Wednesday at 5 p.m. against Trinity Prep.
