Girls’ lacrosse off to a hot start

Despite a 9-8 loss to Rockledge on Friday, the girls’ lacrosse team is off to a 3-2 start, led by Freshman Lexi Vorndran who scored 13 goals in the first four games.

“The team has really improved from last year considering we have won most of our games and continue to play strong even if we are losing,” sophomore Paige Conrad said. “The new girls have come a long way, and they show up to any extra things like Sunday scrimmages.”

The Lady Wildcats’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Edgewood Jr. Sr. High on Merritt Island.
